Created attachment 124249 [details] My complex document that crash with 5.1.x I made tricky memos to edit A5 documents without any problem with at last v. 5.05 When I tried to scroll in the document, or to use internal hyperlinks, also when updating table of content. Renaming the .config/libreoffice folder does'nt solve. I install Libreoffice with DEB packages downloaded from https://fr.libreoffice.org/ either stable version (5.05) or final release of evolution version (5.1.x)
When I tried to scroll in the document, or to use internal hyperlinks, also when updating table of content, Writer crashes and endless file recovery occurs (either the recovered file or the original one before editing crashes. When reverting with 5.05, there's no problem.
On pc Debian x86-64 testing with master sources updated today or with LO Debian package (5.1.2), I don't reproduce this. Please use LO package from Debian repo not from https://fr.libreoffice.org/. Indeed the last ones are more for packagers. So, uninstall any LO version then install last one from Debian repo (via apt or a front-end of it).
Lionel: I received your email but why not having answered directly on the bugtracker so anyone may respond? (using this link https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99223#) Anyway, since you use LTS Ubuntu (12.04, Precise Pangolin), either you should stay on 5.0 branch or perhaps there'll be a 5.1 version in ppa (I don't know). Bjoern: any information about the possibility of a 5.1 version on ppa soon?
It seems to work with LibO v. 5.1.4, installed from DEB packages (https://fr.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/). The only change in my process is using the complete removal command of previous version sudo apt-get autoremove --purge libreoffice5* instead of manual removal of libreoffice packages using synaptic on graphic mode. I didn't need to rename the config file with personal preferences Thanks for your help.
Thank you Lionel for your feedback, let's pu this one to WFM then.
