Try select in MS Excel entire column (or group of columns), then press Shift+Del, then select some another column and press Ctrl+"+". As a result, the initial column is transferred to a new location (not removed!), the existing columns with data in the new location is automatically moved apart, and other columns are shifted to close empty old location. Same thing with rows. This is a short and comfortable way to move rows or columns. I want similar functionality in Calc also.
Hello, you can do it now - to move columns or rows, click on the header(s) to select them, then hold down Alt and drag one of the cells in the region to the new location. https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/33207/how-to-move-columnsrows-in-calc/
