This enhancement was requested in the Draw survey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDEF0 https://www.edrawsoft.com/IDEF0-flowcharts.php https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Create-IDEF0-diagrams-ea7a9289-96e0-4df8-bb26-a62ea86417fc
Perhaps the issue is better preserved with the autocreation of flow charts.
If someone let me know which shapes should be in the IDEF gallery, I can make the gallery.
Check the links for a first impression. Draw.io has the Flowchart and Entity Relation categories that we may copycat. I believe one gallery is enough and naming it flowchart is better than IDEFx.

h! For me both on Windows and on Ubuntu, with all recent versions, including master, single-click on Input Field from Variables tab activates the same dialog - could that be some overlooked unintended consequence http://www.iu-bloomington.com/ specific for the field on Variables tab then? Or did I misunderstand something - possibly it's the other field was modified to have two edit modes, while this one still only allows one using dialog? later reverted use of the <Home> and the <End> keys for slide navigation as the shortcuts broke legacy text editing. https://www.webb-dev.co.uk/ And here this remains a simple conflict with selected shortcuts--these <Ctrl>+<Shift>+[Home|Up|Down|End] text movement and selection text edit functions are still in conflict. https://waytowhatsnext.com/ Pretty sure they are reserved inside edit engine -- and so got missed when reviewing Accelerators.xcu for use for slide movement shortcuts. http://www.acpirateradio.co.uk/ @Jay, Philippe -- if we can not isolate behavior of the Slide sorter pane from the active elements on the slide canvas then we have to change the chosen ShortCuts for slide movements. http://www.logoarts.co.uk/ Believe the newer feature should get new shortcuts. And the legacy (and arcane) assignments in edit engine (used in all modules) should be left alone. http://www.slipstone.co.uk/ h!
