If you add or modify new Gradients/Bitmaps/Patterns/Hatches within the new area fill options tabs, then these changes and custom entries are not saved over LibO sessions.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a Writer document.
2. Go to Format > Paragraph > Area > Gradient
3. Add a new gradient and enter a name.
4. Save the document and close LibO completely.
5. Open Writer again or open the saved Writer document again.

Actual result:
Custom changes in the Gradients/Bitmaps/Patterns/Hatches tabs are not saved neither in LibO nor in the document.

Expected result:
Custom changes in the Gradients/Bitmaps/Patterns/Hatches tabs should be saved in LibO's user profile.

PS: I don't think that this issue is touched or resolved by bug 99908, but I haven't a chance to test 5.3.2 or 5.4.0 before releasing.

yes, it seems to be the same.

gradient is kept after saving as odt in

I'd say this is a combo of bug#99908, bug#105922 and bug#103916
