Description HTK300 2020-02-16 09:32:07 UTC
Description:
the written content of a Text Box cannot be aligned to the center or the right frame of the text box, the app WRITER will crash every time!. Yet, the vertical alignment of the content of the Text Box can be set to top or centered or bottom.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open Writer
2. insert a Textbox and type some content
3. double click on that content
4. try to align this content to center or right within the text box
5. app crashed in macOS and Windows 8

Actual Results:
1. open Writer
2. insert a Textbox and type some content
3. double click on that content
4. try to align this content to center or right within the text box
5. app crashed in macOS and Windows 8

Expected Results:
the content of the textbook is supposed to be aligned to the middle or to the right within the text box, it should not crash at all, every time I reproduced that.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
align the content of the Text Box to the center or to the right corner

Thanks for reporting this bug.

This is a duplicate of bug 130286 (see its other duplicates for more details), and has been fixed in the source code repository. The 6.4.1 release will include the fix. Meanwhile, you can try 6.4.1 RC1 (6.4.1.1) which also has the fix.

Hello Ming Hua,
sorry for overseeing the duplicate.

Just wanted to let you know, I installed LO on MAC V 6.4.1.1 and found that in contradiction to what you hoped and said, the bug seemed to have been fixed, but only in a way that the WRITER won't crash anymore, but still the content of the Text Box will not re-aligned to the center or to the right - nothing happens there.

I will file new bug if you can agree?
Harry

In that case you're likely experiencing bug 130482, and you'll have to wait for version 6.4.2 for the fix.

No need to file a new bug since you've already changed this one's status back to UNCONFIRMED. I'll wait for your response before marking it a duplicate again.

HTK, I also think, it's a duplicate of bug 130482. Therefor I close it as duplicate. Please change it back to UNCONFIRMED with a short reasoning, if you disagree.
