Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2010-11-20 03:10:26 UTC
In Bug 31701 Tollef Fog Heen recommended that we should nominate someone to fix smaller issues concerning Bugzilla, for example adding new LibreOffice versions to the version picker or similar.
Or, for example, for fixing mishaps like Bug 31782

Because I do not see any volunteers or suggestions, I will ask for permissions for me.

I would like to offer my help on this. I responded via email to Rainer the other day and he of course referred me back to the issue, here.

Before doing so though, I did go ahead and read through Chapter 3 of the Bugzilla docs and reviewed the release notes. (along with some of the pages on configuration options and external interfaces)

As far as handling the simple tasks discussed here, it seems they would be via the administrative interfaces, so really isn't a problem.

As for my availability, I try to get through my emails every day and don't really see how this this would add to much to keep up with.

Also, I'm really quite interested in helping out with some of the ideas that have been talked about regarding developing a better workflow (along with some possible web forms) for report intake from users, perhaps interfacing with a LibreOffice web forum - so this would be a good first step to getting active with Bugzilla and start bringing myself up to speed so I can actually contribute something worthwhile, I think.

Michael Meeks and Thorsten Behrens now have permissions.
