[This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugHunting_Session_3.5.0.-1 more detail on this bulk operation: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/RFC-Operation-Spamzilla-tp3607474p3607474.html
Dear bug submitter! Due to the fact, that there are a lot of NEEDINFO bugs with no answer within the last six months, we close all of these bugs. To keep this message short, more infos are available @ https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/NeedinfoClosure#Statement Thanks for understanding and hopefully updating your bug, so that everything is prepared for developers to fix your problem. Yours! Florian
reproduced in 3.6.0rc on Fedora 64 bit LO takes one core of CPU completely. Ans several minutes gone, but document appears on screen only partially. LO not responds. And now LO crashed. Or system killed it automatically.
More or less [Reproducible] with parallel installation of Master "LOdev 3.7.0.0.alpha0+ - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID: 6900781]" (tinderbox: 2008R2@20, pull time 2012-08-14 09:27:23), LibO crashes after few seconds AOOo 3.4 hanbs as reported, so probably inherited from OOo. @Cédric: Please set Status to ASSIGNED and add yourself to "Assigned To" if you accept this Bug or forward the Bug if it's not your turf.
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, it doesn't crash but either LO enters in an infinite loop or I should have waited for more than 5 minutes to open the html file.

Not working with 4.0 rc1 on Windows 7...
Created attachment 79293 [details] Bug 33037 - WinDbg session with FAILED_SOURCE_CODE Confirmed with: LO 4.0.2.2 Build ID: own W7 debug build Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit Attached full WinDbg session with mini dump file loaded generated by procdump soffice.bin -h.
bfoman: It won't change anything for this bug (since I'm reproducing the problem with master sources updated today) but LO 4.0.3 has just been released.

Comment on attachment 72031 [details] bts at random with master sources following last attachment
It seems like a rendering issue. Because of the multiple table nesting and some content before the nested table the hang occurs.
Created attachment 87615 [details] Test document 2 Much simplier version of the test document. Remove the <br> tag or the table nesting and the hang will not occur.
Reproducable on ubuntu 13.10 x64, LibreOffice Version: 4.2.0.1 Build ID: 420m0(Build:1)
Confirmed:4.2.0.2:OSX
Created attachment 105827 [details] random bt On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated yesterday, the Thomas' file still does not open.
Comment on attachment 79361 [details] console + bt finish with symbols on master sources I attached a new bt since it may be more practical to investigate with recent bt.
Michael: infinite (or almost infinite?) loop in sw layout part, one for you?
