From a selection of financial transactions I wanted to have a view which gives me the sum of money for all transactions within an certain category. Each transaction record (or row) consists of six data fields but for the pivot table I am only interested in two of them: the category type and the amount of money. After the first run of the pivot table wizard I discovered an error in the input data: one of the transactions had a wrong type. So I corrected the type field and restarted the pivot table wizard but surprise ... the output of the pivot table did not change! I had to close Libreoffice and restart again to get the right output data.
Yes, the refresh functionality is pretty much broken in 3.3. Try right-click on the datapilot table (or pivot table as you call it) and refresh after clicking OK to dismiss the dialog. This is (hopefully) fixed in 3.4.
Indeed when using the wizard refresh function on the pivot table after changing the wrong data input then it works ok. I discovered that the problem is very much to related to the by me followed procedure e.g. I choose to made the datapivot table on the same sheet as the source data. When you choose "new sheet" then it works ok also. regards, Dick Op 22-03-11 01:21, bugzilla-daemon@freedesktop.org schreef: > https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35521 > > Kohei Yoshida<kyoshida@novell.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Status|NEW |RESOLVED > Status Whiteboard| |target:3.4 > Resolution| |FIXED > > --- Comment #1 from Kohei Yoshida<kyoshida@novell.com> 2011-03-21 17:21:37 PDT --- > Yes, the refresh functionality is pretty much broken in 3.3.
