impossible to describe exactly how to reproduce
but try the following

spreadsheet with quite some data, filter set
copy comlumn with formula
new spreadsheet
past special (results, not the formulae)
data > sort
go to end
select some cells
cut

or another sheet with filter or validation set
select row
ctrl+- to remove

things like that
regularly the wrong data is removed

Failed to reproduce on my master for OpenSuse Linux.

Thanks for the thorough steps. Is there any way you could post an attachment in a case where it does break for you? Probably have the column all set up, and if someone cuts the last few cells from the column, the table will break. Thanks.

I played a bit with a new build from master (Build ID: 51e0d9a-4eb4f62-260b7c1) and the problem seems to be gone...
Will try again later.
