Description: Ubuntu 11.04
Release: 11.04

2) apt-cache policy libreoffice-draw

     1:3.3.2-1ubuntu4 0

3) What is expected to happen in LibreOffice Draw via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/515491/+attachment/1124943/+files/for-svg-try.odg && lodraw -nologo for-svg-try.odg

File -> Export -> svg -> OK button reopen in Draw and it looks as it did in .odg.

4) What happens instead is the text is all moved to the top left.
Comment 1 Jeffrey 2011-08-20 19:52:44 UTC
Confirmed for LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:103) on OpenSuse Linux. Seems like saving as .svg causes many problems. Text is bare within the borders on the top left, lines are missing.

Comment 3 Chris Peñalver 2012-01-16 17:53:59 UTC
Problem reproducible. However, instead of moving the text over, it changes the background to black.

Comment 4 Thomas Arnhold 2013-10-14 22:58:20 UTC
NOT reproducible with 4.1.1.2 and 4.1.2 anymore. The text is aligned fine.
Comment 5 Chris Peñalver 2013-10-20 19:14:25 UTC
On a very unfortunate technicality, the text doesn't move to the top left in a newer LO release. Instead it's gone entirely. Hence, I've re-wrote the Summary to better describe the bug.

This needs to be independently confirmed by QA - REOPENED is wrong status. Moving to UNCONFIRMED. Thanks
Comment 7 Chris Peñalver 2014-11-06 18:03:50 UTC
Still an issue in MASTER:
Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: b7d8a58ff2698ffc6e22943f64aa97c5ea253bd9
TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2014-11-05_00:40:38
Microsoft Windows Vista Business x86 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002

As a member of LO QA, I've put myself as the QA contact if you would have questions on the scope of this report.
Comment 8 Joel Madero 2014-11-06 18:11:15 UTC
Please don't confirm your own bugs - even if you are in QA - we ask that independent people confirm.
Comment 9 Chris Peñalver 2014-11-06 18:13:39 UTC
Joel Madero, the original reporters (not me) are found in the See Also: at the top right hand side of this report, and in the Description.

Hence, I'm not confirming my own report.

Still confirmed, when I export and open it in Draw. However, the text is fine in Firefox!

kompilainenn, regarding your comment:
>"all works very fine."

No, it doesn't. ;)

The scope of this report as per https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40177#c0:

"What is expected to happen...it looks as it did in .odg."

Exporting to .svg has two text boxes in the background when opening in .svg, that didn't exist in .odg.

Version: 6.1.0.0.beta1 (x64)
Build ID: 8c76dfe1284e211954c30f219b3a38dcdd82f8a0
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

Please be careful in the future when toggling things closed, and the rationale used.

Christopher: I do not understand the problem. They look identical. Can you explain?
