Description steveb 2011-10-17 03:08:49 UTC
Problem:
The position and size of ellipses added onto a worksheet, and anchored to a cell, are not preserved in saved files.
Saving the file and re-opening shows the ellipse compressed into the size of a single cell.

Expected Result:
The ellipse should stay as it was placed.

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open a new spreadsheet
- From the drawing toolbar, select Ellipse (4th button) and place an ellipse
onto Sheet1. Set the size to span several cells in both directions.
- Set the ellipse to Anchor "To Cell"
- Save and close the spreadsheet
- Re-open the spreadsheet
- The ellipse will now be shown just a little bigger than the anchor cell

Notes:
- Ellipses added and anchored "To Page" do not have this problem
- Ellipses added using the "Basic Shapes", "Ellipse" drawing toolbar button do
  not have this problem
- Problem seen on both kubuntu 11.10 amd64 and WinXP 32-bit

[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.4.5 German UI [Build ID: OOO340m1 (Build:502)]" on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

No longer reproducible with "LibreOffice 3.5.0 RC1 German UI/Locale [Build-ID: b6c8ba5-8c0b455-0b5e650-d7f0dd3-b100c87] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit)

It seems to have been a FILEOPEN problem, sample345.ods what has been saved from 3.4.5 shows an ellipse covering A1:C5, but same document opened with 3.4.5 shows an ellipse not much bigger than A1, see attached sample document.

"LibreOffice Portable 3.3.0 - WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [OOO330m19 (Build:6) tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4]" also did not show the problem, so that was a regression.

Currently only reproduced with WIN
