When trying to use the print preview, moving the mouse will crash libreoffice

I encounter exactly the same problem. Calc always crashes when clicking on File → Page Preview.

Detailed description: Calc crashes when clicking on File → Page Preview. These crashes are 100% reproducible with all files, even with an empty spreadsheet. Doing some testing, I figured out that this issue only occurs in the Gnome 3 environment. In Unity, Calc does not crash.

My system: Ubuntu 11.10 64-Bit, Gnome 3 shell, LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:402) (the default version of Ubuntu).

I am encountering the problem under Unity (Ubuntu 11.10 64bit),but maybe it's a 64bit problem?

But maybe it's fixed for ubuntu in the newest build, i just saw you are using the 3.4.4, I'm only using
LibreOffice 3.4.3
OOO340m1 (Build:302)
I'll upgrade tomorrow, trying to find a correpsonding ppa.

I can confirm that it also happens all the time, even with empty Documents and when using the shorcut icon instead of taking the detour of using the menu

When i said, maybe it's fiexed for ubuntu in the newer build, i actually meant Unity :)
Comment 4 gleppert 2011-12-04 23:52:33 UTC
@andreas: The version of LibreOffice, I am using, is the default version of Ubuntu 11.10. Version 3.4.4 came with the standard update mechanism a few days ago. So you don't need a third-party PPA to test it.

Could you please report that in lauchpad, it seems that this is an ubuntu only problem.

I don't see any bug reports from other distros or from our own builds.

The bug can be found here, if anyone ends up here, searching for it:

I'm closing this bug report. If it is a generic bug and not only a ubuntu bug christopher will open a new one.
