testcase

In the attached example, text is supposed to alternate over clear and less clear backgrounds

However, in libreoffice, a white stripe separates the different colour stripes, and is not coloured like the paragraph it belongs to

This kind of styling works perfectly in office 2007

reproducible with LO 4.0.2.2 (Win7 Home, 64bit)

but for MSO 2007 the file has first to be restored

Hi Nicolas,

I do recognise this.
Workaround: setting paragraph border the same color (+ spacing 0)

Still confirmed.
Severity minor as workaround exists.

Tested with 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ and nothing changed.

But how should this be handled?

The white space comes from the paragraph settings of 'Spacing above paragraph' and 'Spacing below paragraph' (0,09 cm in the example file). This spacing is part of the margin of the paragraph which isn't filled with a background color. Should this be changed?

@Regina:
What does the odf specification say about that?
Comment 7 Regina Henschel 2018-10-27 20:30:11 UTC
Margin areas are always transparent. To get a colored distance between the paragraphs use "padding" from the "Border" tab of the paragraph style dialog.
Comment 8 Thomas Lendo 2018-10-28 13:51:23 UTC
Closing this bug as INVALID according to comment 6 and comment 7.
