Description B.J. Herbison 2012-01-02 18:31:18 UTC
Open a blank document (for example "Untitled 84"), and use the Window/New Window command to create a second view on the document.

In the first window, right-click on the Sheet1 tab label and select "Move/Copy Sheet". Change the name of the sheet by changing the "New name" field and click "OK".

Expected result: The sheet has the new name in both windows.

Actual result: The sheet has the new name in the first window, the old name in the second window.

Notes:

- Actually moving the sheet has no effect on the name issue.

- I observed this with an existing spreadsheet as well as on new blank sheets.

- Selecting the second window will cause the tab name display to be fixed.

- Only tested on Ubuntu 10.4 with kernel 2.6.38-13-generic.

I can see such an effect (I tested with an old 3.4.1RC)) as you see in screenshot:

1. Open nes Spreadsheet from LibO start Center
2. Menu 'File -> New -> Spreadsheet'
3. Arrange both windows as you see in screenshot wo that both are visible
   in parallel
4. Click first Window
5. Type "x", "y", "z" into 3 cells
   > You will see mocifications immediately after <enter> or other
     confirmation also in second iwndow.
6. Rightclick first sheet , context menu 'Move/Copy -> Replace Name "Sheet1" by
   "sheetsheet" -> <ok>
   As expected first sheet is renamed
   Unexpectedly other Window shows old name "Sheet1". To update sheet name
   you will have to click second window (to make it "active"). After results
   in step 5 I would have expected to see new sheet name immediately

Also modification of Tab color and changing sheet name with context menu "Rename" become visible immediately in second window. Only way of modification as reported needs to activate the second window before the modification becomes visible.

This (minor) problem also exists with Parallel Dev-Installation of "LibreOffice 3.5.0 Beta2- WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) German UI [Build-ID : 8589e48-760cc4d-f39cf3d-1b2857e-60db978]
