When I click on Install.. I get: "This installation package could not be opened."  Have spent last 2 hrs trying to find help.  So I downloaded the vcredist.exe  and it does not say ' welcome' but rather it give me a choice on page first, "Repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Setup    or   uninstall it from this computer."    I am Lost.  About 5 yrs ago I used Open Office on old pc. and we got along just fine.  Help kindly please.

- Maybe because it is corrupted. Download again. LibreOffice 3.5.3 packages are digitally signed, it makes easier to detect file corruption or tampering.

- Yes, because you already had it installed on your computer.
