Created attachment 58849 [details] Pdf files and screenshots of Writer interface showing the problem. I have created some Writer documents that include svg images and svg images with text. 1. Before (>=) version 3.3 everything was ok. 2. After (>) version 3.3 some visualization bugs have appeared for svg files in Writer interface: doubled contours, bigger strokes etc. Exporting as pdf, everything was ok. I have tried resolving the bug saving the files without fonts embedding (only vectors, creating outlines for fonts) but the problem persists. 3. From version 3.5 visualization bugs for svg files in Writer interface are incremented: some vectors (no text) are "exploded" (for example an envelope has become a composition of triangles) and the problem is extended to pdf export. The odt file is always the same and, if I install older versions of LibreOffice , the problem decreases or disappears (3.3). Thank you.
Can Confirm this rendering-bug for version 3.4 but not for 3.5 (Windows Version). In Version 3.5.1.2 rendering of svg with pathes is ok, but export to pdf creates a raster-base image of the imported svg, see bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42092 Can you upload your original odt an svg files?
Created attachment 60493 [details] Odt and svg files As requested. Thanks
Thanks for attachment Reproduced in 3.5.4 on Fedora 64 bit used File->Open for opening SVG file. Contour of picture is slightly not sharp. Insert->Picture->From file - works correctly Changing version to 3.3.0 as most early reproduced, due to description Can not determine problem with PDF, distortion is too small to say something for sure.
Looking at this on LibreOffice 4.1.4, it looks fine: no double contours, mail symbol renders fine => WORKSFORME
