Description Urmas 2012-07-21 11:37:32 UTC
Please allow user-selectable paths to dictionaries for spelling check, hyphenation and thesaurus to be used.

This wish is already tracked in issue 36558.

No, these are entirely separate concepts and entirely separate engines.
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2012-07-23 15:15:26 UTC
So please explain what is different. Your current description is not clear enough.
Comment 4 Urmas 2012-08-01 07:47:06 UTC
You want to say that see no difference between OO.o user dictionary and hunspell spelling dictionaries? Don't take me for a fool, please.
Comment 5 Joel Madero 2014-11-06 20:57:37 UTC
@Urmas - so...I agree with Regina here, can you explain the difference - and please try to refrain from the emotional response. It's a simple question, best to just answer rather than throw in additional language. Moving to NEW as it seems like a fine idea - just not sure how it's different from bug 36558
Comment 6 Urmas 2014-11-07 01:04:08 UTC
"Spelling dictionary" is a couple of files in Hunspell format.
"User dictionary" is a useless text file.

Spelling dictionaries available ONLY as extensions is a very bad idea leading to much inconvenience.
