Please allow user-selectable paths to dictionaries for spelling check, hyphenation and thesaurus to be used.
This wish is already tracked in issue 36558. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 36558 ***
No, these are entirely separate concepts and entirely separate engines.
So please explain what is different. Your current description is not clear enough.
You want to say that see no difference between OO.o user dictionary and hunspell spelling dictionaries? Don't take me for a fool, please.
@Urmas - so...I agree with Regina here, can you explain the difference - and please try to refrain from the emotional response. It's a simple question, best to just answer rather than throw in additional language. Moving to NEW as it seems like a fine idea - just not sure how it's different from bug 36558
"Spelling dictionary" is a couple of files in Hunspell format. "User dictionary" is a useless text file. Spelling dictionaries available ONLY as extensions is a very bad idea leading to much inconvenience.
By definition, an entire dictionary etc will be something rather complex and nothing that individual users will "create on their own" or "have handy lying around". Instead, these are always curated, managed things that are entirely suited to being extensions. Probably should be labelled as NOTABUG, but I'll content myself with just lowering the priority to zero.
