while bugzilla was not available yesterday an attempt to use the Bug Submission Assistant showed red Html / XML code instead of page code as shown in the attachment. We need some better handling for that.

This one is more or less a DUP of "Bug 41568 - BUGZILLAASSISTANT: user-friendly bug submission: gracefully handle bad gateway"?

This or similar effects (with read source text instead of normal page contents) have been observed by other users under currently unclear circumstances; I have been informed by floeff.

@Rob:
Any Idea? Can you please observe this problem?

Sorry, comment 3 has been written by my under wrong account
Comment 5 Rob Snelders 2012-08-15 18:51:15 UTC
I have solved it in my branch.

I'm just not sure yet about the message that should appear.
For now I have: "Bugzilla isn't running. Please try again later."
Anybody any thoughts?

Hi Rob, thank you for taking this one. I would prefer a little more cautious wording like "It seems there is a problem to connect with Bugzilla. Please try again later."
