Description a_g74564 2012-08-12 14:15:37 UTC
Problem description:
LibreOffice crashes when you try to organize macros using Tools->Organize Macros->LANGUAGE, where LANGUAGE is any language (Python, BeanShell, JavaScript) except LibreOffice Basic.
Python 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and 3.1 are installed and working (32 bit versions).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a LibreOffice Application (for example LibreOffice Calc)
2. Select Tools from the menu bar.
3. Under Macros choose Organize Macros -> Python...

Current behavior:
Instant crash after selecting the option mentioned above.

Expected behavior:
Show the user the macro manager like when using LibreOffice Basic, or show an appropriate error message how to solve the problem (e.g. install modules etc.).

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1

On pc Debian x86-64 with 3.6 sources updated today, I don't reproduce the problem.

Did you install any LO specific extension ?
Could you try to reproduce the pb after having renamed the LO profile directory ? (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)

I updated LibreOffice a while ago, so I tried your fix (renaming the LO profile directory) and it worked. The macro menu is now working for all languages. Thanks

Cannot reproduce with recent (Mon, Aug 20, 2012) Linux master build here. What's your backtrace?

...and not with recent Windows master build, either.

Could it depend on the localization?
(I don't know your localization Stephan and Bjoern)

Björn/a_g74564: any update with newer LO version (4.1.4 or 4.2.0.4)?
