Problem description: In an LO Calc spreadsheet, I have two tables (one regular, the other is a pivot table) with the following layout: Year | Month | Value 2008 | jan | 78 | feb | 76 | mar | 43 ... In LO 3.5 I was able to create a bar chart with hierarchical x-axis in the form: jan | feb | mar | ... | jan | feb | mar | ... 2008 | 2009 Maybe it's me, but I can't do it again in LO 3.6. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a table with the previous layout. 2. Fill it with values 3. Try to create a bar chart with hierarchical x-axis Current behavior: A graph with only monts as labels. Expected behavior: A graph like this one [http://www.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/EN-Project_images/NewFeatures/thorsten/100pc/chart-hierarchical-axis-labels.png] Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu/10.04 Chromium/18.0.1025.168 Chrome/18.0.1025.168 Safari/535.19 Thanks,
@maurom1982@yahoo.com.ar Please attach a sample document and contribute a comprehensible step by step instruction how you create the chart with 3.5
Created attachment 67742 [details] spreadsheet with chart with correct labels My boss was kind enough to create this chart with LibreOffice 3.5. He followed this sequence of steps: 1) create a table with three columns in the form: category, subcategory, data values; 2) select the table; and 3) choose Insert->Chart from the menu. The thing is, I can open this spreadsheet with LO 3.6 and the chart is correctly shown, but I could not create a similar chart with that version of LO.

[Reproducible] with reporter's sample document and "LibreOffice 3.6.2.1 rc English UI/ German Locale [Build-ID: da8c1e6] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit). As in 3.5 in LibO 3.6 in Chart 'Data Ranges -> Data Series' "Categories" is shown as "$Hoja1.$A$1:$B$9" (2 Columns A,B for x-axix labels). But only "cox ... skda" from Column B are shown, "apples, oranges" labels line from column A are missing. It's a viewing problem, "apples , oranges" comes back after double click when you open a 3.6 edited document with 3.5 I can even created such a second chart in the sample document with "Categories $Hoja1.$A$1:$B$9" (LibO automatically suggests that), and Libo 3.5 will show "apples, oranges" in this document (are invisible din 3.6.2 during creation). And I can even create a new data column befor old column A, type Fruit into new A1 and change "Categories" is shown as "$Hoja1.$A$1:$C$9", and 3.5 will show 3 lines labels for x-axis.
