Description Holbernd 2012-08-17 10:40:13 UTC
Problem description: There is no possibillity to have automatically generated column-numbers.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I have a document with more than one column.
2. It is only posslible to show pagenumbers, but not to show automatically generated columnumbers.

Current behavior: columnnumbers are missing.

Expected behavior: in Documents with more than one columns, I can easily insert the number of the column, so that it is automatically shown on each page.

Platform (if different from the browser): Any (I use Linux 3.1.10)

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1

Longtime open bug, but I don't understand it. Confirmed too soon.
What exactly is asked for and what is the use case?
I read https://www.quora.com/How-can-I-number-each-column-in-Word and per that this is not to be supported.
