Description narayanaras 2012-09-13 02:32:37 UTC
If I want to break the links in a text document, I use Edit>Links... menu option. In the window that pops up, I select all links and then click on the "Break links" button.

From that moment, the window does not show progress of this task.
Sometimes it even shows "(Not responding)" in the window title bar.
After a long long time it recovers though.

This uncertainty can be avoided by providing a progress bar.

I realize that the images can be of different sizes, and the network can have varying speeds. Therefore the progress bar would be able to show only "x links broken out of y links" type of display (not based on the sizes of the images downloaded so far).

But that is enough to give an idea of progress.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I could see how a progress bar about how many links have been broken could benefit users. I will indicate that this is an enhancement request.
