While users are downloading LibreOffice is a excellent point in time to make appear with some JavaScript an invitation to contribute. Since we are approaching a very broad audience there the suggested task should be limited (no more than 4) and very simple to not overwhelm the user. Initial proposal: While you are downloading, have you considered: - Donating to TDF - Verifying bugfixes and features in our upcoming release https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50100 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53675 - Promoting LibreOffice (link to marketing team mailing list or wiki, maybe?) - Confirm a reported bugs https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53559 This is just an intial proposal, if you what to discuss the layout and content of such an invite, creating a wikipage for it is likely best (keep it simple though, esp. if you are not the one who will implement it!)
Hi Björn, I think we can (almost?) close this one thanks to the work of Florian http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/msg10838.html Kind regards, Joren
Assigning to floeff as he did the work, and closing as WORKSFORME as there is still stuff to tweak on the solution. ;)
Status quo is that this is enabled for DE and EN pages, with a quick and dirty PHP wrapper. Plan is now to implement this, while eliminating some glitches (downloading help/language pack is odd), natively in Silverstripe. Will coordinate that on the website list.
