Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open LibreOffice Draw and draw in it two rectangles 2. Connect the rectangles with connector 3. Select all objects and copy them 4. Open LibreOffice Writer and paste the drawing in it 5. Ungroup the drawing in Writer and save the Writer document 6. Close the Writer document and after that open it The result: the connector is not connected to the shapes. LibreOffice Writer does not inform the user (e.g. on saving) that such a problem may arise.
Confirmed with LO 4.0 Beta 1 on Windows 7. But the connector isn't deleted, it just moves to a different place.
I still see some details needing clearing up: a) Is it a FILESAVE or a FILEOPEN problem? We also have some MS WORD document FILEOPEN problems, may be there is a relation? b) Any knowledge whether that also was a problem with more early LibO Versions? (@Lucas: With this <http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/libreoffice-server-installation-gui> Installer it's really very easy to install some few versions (I recommend the last of a major release, for example 3.5.7.2, 3.4.6) in parallel to find out where a problem came up)
Thanks for the hint. Cool tool. This also happens with LO 3.3.4, 3.5.7 and 3.6.4. (I couldn't find the latest 3.4 installer). I don't have a copy of MS Office, but I've tested with the current FreeOffice (freeoffice.com) from Softmaker: The textediting Software (TextMaker) does show the connection correct. (I've done all the steps till step 5 with LO (safed in ODF), and only opened with TextMaker), so I assume the problem is a FILEOPEN problem. I couldn't find any related bugs yet.

Created attachment 170243 [details] Rectangles after reopening As you can see, there is no connection between rectangles, but this is just visual bug, because as you try to move the boxes, the connector is redrawn and rectangles are connected. This evolved into bug of visual represenation. How to reproduce it : - do all the steps (and there will be not properly connected shapes) - drag and drop rectangles and connector is shown properly connected - save the file - check again - still the same - visual bug, but when you move the rectangles they are still connected.
