The menus in Writer and Calc, have little arrows at top and bottom, and do NOT show the full menu.

Tools->Options does not provide an option to enable showing "full menus".

In Microsoft Word XP (2002/3) I can enable "Show Full Menus" option by going to Tools->Options->View and clicking something like "always show full menus".

I googled, and found this page
http://www.taming-openoffice-org.com/newsite/?page_id=24
showing this old option:
"Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > View, select Inactive menu items"
which option does not appear to be present in libreoffice!

This is a most frustrating experience!

AFAIK LibreOffice never implemented the "Show Full Menus" mess of Office 2003, it has always displayed the full menus (unless they don’t fit in the screen, of course). Could you attach an screenshot?

I tested on my current Debian testing and on Windows XP. Unable to reproduce.
I was using an older Debian Testing, not able to go back at this point sorry.

Since not happening now, close this bug.
