Problem description: Edit report in Base. Connect to native mysql source with userid and password. Add a label field in detail section. Copy a 2 paragraph text from writer and paste it in Label properties field. Then try to resize the label field added. Then base first doesn't respond and then hang. Steps to reproduce: 1. ....Edit report for modification 2. ....Add a label field in detail section 3. ....Copy a 2 paragraph text from writer 4. ....Paster it in Label propertie field 5. ....Resize label field added Current behavior: Base block and then hang Expected behavior: Resize label field Operating System: Windows XP
I couldn't confirm this behavior with a database directly in Base (HSQLDB). The MySQL native connector doesn't work with LO 3.6.3.2 and Linux, so I couldn't test it with MySQL like you did. Where have you got the native connector from? I don't think it has anything to do with the connection to MySQL, or does this happen only in a database with this special connection-type?
I can confirm that this happens. The crash occurs when changing the size of the box/object while using the drag to re-size option. If I change the size using the properties list (i.e. enter 2.00) the box will change without fail. I do not have to paste anything into the report. Simply changing the size of the object causes a complete crash.

Any update with last stable LO version 4.2.5 and by taking into account that LO on Windows only works well with Java 32 bits (not 64 bits)
