Created attachment 71962 [details] Compare the PDF files of the same ODT file using DiffPDF on Debian Linux Problem description: The text on an image does not appear in the header of a page in LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta1. In LibreOffice 3.6.3, this text is present. Steps to reproduce: 1. The operating system used is Linux debian 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 09:49:36 UTC 2012 i686 GNU/Linux. 2. The OpenDocument Text (ODT) file can be found here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=33&ved=0CDwQFjACOB4&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dbcde.gov.au%2F__data%2Fassets%2Ffile%2F0006%2F117690%2FDigital_Economy_Final_Report_ODF_Part_1.odt&ei=lYbQUPScGqPsiAej9YGYBQ&usg=AFQjCNGJ3AJgABJs_SxNIdYbyaNrwbPEzA&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.aGc&cad=rja 3. LibreOffice 3.6.3-> File-> Open-> (the file mentioned above)-> File-> Export as PDF (PDF/A-1a) 4. LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta1-> File-> Open-> (the file mentioned above)-> File-> Export as PDF (PDF/A-1a) 5. Compare and contrast page 5 respectively in the two PDF files of the same ODT file. See the line: Australia’s Digital Economy: Future Directions 6. This line is missing in the PDF file produced by LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta1. However, the PDF file generated by LibreOffice 3.6.3 shows this line. 7. This line is also missing in the ODT file in LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta1. Nonetheless, LibreOffice 3.6.3 shows this line in the same ODT file. Current behavior: Same as problem description Expected behavior: The text on an image should appear in the header of page 5 in the PDF file exported by LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta1. Operating System: Debian Version: 4.0.0.0.beta1 Last worked in: 3.6.3.2 release

I've tried and the header is there. The only difference is, in that page, that "co-operation" was broke in "co- operation" in 4.0 and not in 3.6.2, but could be correct since the "non breaking hyphen" exists (insert -> Formatting mark) so you should use it if you want. Btw, in that document there should be more use of "page break" instead of a lot of empty paragraphs. So I think is resolved in 4.0beta2
Confirmation: I agree with Marco Menardi that this issue does not exist in LibreOffice 4.0.0.0 Beta2. Regards, C. H. D.
