Why is there no Equation editor like in M$ Word? Can it be added or is the equation format in DOCx copywritten/trademarked? It should be in the ISO standard how they are formatted in the XML if it isn't proprietary (which I doubt it is)

Hi Cole,

The equation editor is there, Math is named in menus as Formula.
Menu/File/New/Formula.
While in other applications you can do:
Menu/Insert/Object/Formula

Search for help in:
Menu/Help/LibreOffice help/Content/Formulas.

Please if you are agree, change the status to RESOLVE NOTABUG.
