Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-01-03 18:43:21 UTC
Created attachment 72469 [details]
See "LanguageTool"

In the overview not for all Extensions correct LibO version compatibility info is visible. For example (See PAge printout as attachment) for "LanguageTool" Compatibility ends with "LibreOffice 3.6", although LanguageTool 2.0 also is fit for 4.0, as you can see on the release page.

That looks like a trivial problem, but this bug seems to destroy the queries. I tried "Highest Rated for LibO 4.0"
<http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center?getCategories=&getCompatibility=LibreOffice+4.0&sort_on=getLatestReleaseDate&path=%2FLibreOffice-Extensions-and-Templates%2Fextension-center&portal_type=PSCProject&SearchableText=>, and LT is no longer listed.

I did not check whether other Extensions are affected.

The search form could give only a result from the data that are stored on the objects or in the portal_catalog. If an extension is not marked compatible with a newer release of LibreOffice the search mustn't list this extension for the LibreOffice version 4.0.
It need some work from the project owner or volunteers to update the compatibilty lists for each extension.

?
I did the job to mark it "4.0 compatible", " ... as you can see on the release page". Same with "ShowNotes 1.0.3", 4.0 not mentioned in overview
<http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center?getCategories=&getCompatibility=any&sort_on=positive_ratings&path=%2FLibreOffice-Extensions-and-Templates%2Fextension-center&portal_type=PSCProject&SearchableText=ShowNotes>,
but listed on release page <http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/shownotes>

This looks like it is now fixed.

I am closing this bug.

Cheers,

Marc

I can NOT confirm that this one is fixed:

1. go to a.m. URL
   > You will see a list with Extensions, starting with
     "Clipart gallery of danger signs", what shows "Latest release compatible
      with: LibreOffice 4.0 , LibreOffice 3.5 , LibreOffice 3.6 "
2. Change "Any version" to "LibreOffice 4.0, <Search>
   Expected: "Clipart gallery of danger signs" still in list
   Actual: "Clipart gallery of danger signs" no longer shown.

@Marc:
Please contribute your results, "seems fixed" is not an appropriate reason to close a bug report.
Comment 5 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-02-10 16:44:11 UTC
Hm, I merged 2 probably related problems into 1 Bug here, what might be aa little worrying.

But also the problem of original report still is visible for me and so NOT fixed:

1. go to a.m. URL
2. Scroll down to "LT Language Tool"
   As in "my screenshot" you see
   "Latest release compatible with: LibreOffice 3.5 , LibreOffice 3.6" (?!)
3. click Heading,
   <http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/languagetool>
   reaches project overview
4. Check Releases in Table, latest Version 2.0 shows Compatibility with
   LibO 4.0. And there is no LT release compatible with
   "LibreOffice 3.5 , LibreOffice 3.6" only

All test done with Seamonkey 2.5 (of course: cleared browser cache) and FF 18.0.1

So REOPENED due to my tests

NEW due to my results in
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58992#c5>

@Andreas:
Can you please proceed?
Comment 7 Andreas Mantke 2013-02-10 18:04:33 UTC
I've fixed that issue now. I rerun the creation of the compatibility index again. The danger signs are in the list for 4.0 now.
Comment 8 Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2013-02-10 18:59:54 UTC
Hm, in a first quick test I see that queries with LibO Version now show correct results in "Bug 59014 - EXTENSIONSWEBSITE: Search with LibO Version criteria does not show all available Extensions", when I proceed as per #c4.

So I closed the bug and will do some more tests tomorrow to Verify the fix.

But I still see the bug from original report.

When you proceed as per #c4, you should see the list starting with "Clipart gallery of danger signs", "TexMaths", "LanguageTool", ..., and in "LanguageTool" you see the problem reported with THIS bug: "Latest release compatible with: LibreOffice 3.5 , LibreOffice 3.6 ", although LT 2.0 has been tested for 4.0 and that result is in the properties.

I see the same missing 4.0-compatibility for "Magenta Lorem Ipsum Generator", "Corretores Ortográficos para Português de Portugal", "An Drouizig Breton Spellchecker".

Same problem concerning LibO 3.6 compatibility (please do query and check compatibility info in Overview) with "Magenta Lorem Ipsum Generator", "Corretores Ortográficos para Português de Portugal", "BorderLiner", "Finnish spell checker, hyphenator and grammar checker (Voikko)", "German (de-AT frami) dictionaries" and may be others, I did not check until end.

Other Versions from picker not tested yet.
