Created attachment 73008 [details] screenshot of bug in action it's apparently possible for page footer/header widgets to remain visible after changing the zoom level, which looks very ugly. on a similar note, i'm not sure if it's really a good idea to show these at all on very small zoom levels like 20%, since they're really huge compared to the actual pages then.

While I can reproduce the decorations being painted (and full size), I don't see them being wrongly placed. They are repainted after each zoom change. (I couldn't reproduce in bibisect 41max either...) IMHO, I'd just close this bug report.
Yeah, I don't see the type of misplacement shown in attachment 73008 [details] with any Linux VCL backend. With kf6, the widgets can overlap, so we only read "ooter" and "ader". Let's close, then.
