Description guylesire 2013-01-15 12:51:41 UTC
Problem description:
Solution?
Merci par avance

Steps to reproduce:
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....

Expected behavior:

Operating System: Mac OS X
Version: 3.6.1.2 release

Thank you for your report, but for future reference, please note that in order to get any attention, bug reports should be filed in English.

Translation of the original post follows :

 Description of the problem :
Using an Excel file as a datasource loaded into LO Calc.
I generally work on this file in Excel using the "Data Forms" tool, which enables me to enter data as a table without overwriting cells containing formulae.

In Calc, the equivalent function is totally incorrect and thus unusable.
What is the solution?
Thanks in advance

Guy, désolé de le dire, mais ce rapport est incompréhensible. "Inutilisable" et "incorrect" ne veut rien dire sans un exemple concret ou description détaillée sur la manière de reproduire le problème rencontré.

Guy, my apologies for saying this, but your report is incomprehensible. "Unusable" and "incorrect" don't mean anything without a concrete example or a detailed description of how to reproduce the problem you are experiencing.

This will be marked as INVALID if more detailed information is not provided, preferably with an example Excel file, on how to reproduce, step-by-step, the problem you are experiencing.

In Excel, the fields with formulas are read-only when using Data Form. When new records are added, the formulas from the first row are copied to a new record.

Libreoffice Data Form can corrupt the formulas in calculated fields.

Thanks for the extra info Urmas, you don't happen to know if this has already been reported by any chance ?

I haven't found duplicates.

Adding Kohei, Markus to CC.

@Kohie, Markus : Data corruption by overwriting "pseudo" or "real" write protected cells in an Excel sheet through the Form/Data dialog when imported into Calc. As I'm not a Windows user, and have never used this function in Calc I can go no further - care to take a look ?

We need a sample Excel file that uses the Data/Forms functionality, setting to NEEDINFO.

Confirming, as it seems that the original developer, who built this code as an extension, before integration into LO source tree, is already aware of the issue :

Alex, the original code comes from one of Novell's former team mates, and was developed as an internal feature not an extension.

The developer you referenced above is probably the author of the extension version of the same functionality. But these two are two different code set.
Comment 12 Kohei Yoshida 2013-01-23 15:05:25 UTC
I take this as an enhancement request.

Hi
I am not really happy in helping you highlighting problems.
As per all this, I am quite not sure I will not report any issues so far.
Nb: i was a informatic engineer in 1970 and i have difficuties to understand why it is so long and so complicated.
As you can see below, this is the message i answerred today referring to your message "[Bug 59417] Data entry form does not support formulas" dated 2018-03-17.
There is no mention in this message that i cannot respond to the message but via
this web.
So the below message was returned "Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.<bugzilla-daemon@bugs.documentfoundation.org>:
554: 5.7.1 <bugzilla-daemon@bugs.documentfoundation.org>: Recipient address rejected: You replied to a Bugzilla notification email. However email replies are not added to bug reports. Please visit https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/ instead to add a follow-up."
So basically i loosed my time again.
Nevertheless i went to your site but my password was outdated , so again spending time for a new password.

---- original answer of today ---------
Hello Thomas

Answer & suggestion.

Sorry but this bug has been submitted in january 2013 … more than 5 years !
… and i still do not know if you solved it or not as not found within all links neither tested : in between i buyed a MS Office365 monthly licence (5 users)

Please notice that the way your message appeared (see below),
- I first tought your message was a bulk
- I hesitated to simply delete it
- because uncomprehensive immediately.

Suggestion : please show first or last message from the requester, within the text of the message in order that he can refer to immediately .
I am very reluctant to click on links which are not evidently secured because there are so much dangerous bulk messages.

Anyway, thanks for your answer and sorry for my poor english . Hope you understand what i wrote.

Best regards

Testing with
Version: 6.0.4.2 (x64)
Build-ID: 9b0d9b32d5dcda91d2f1a96dc04c645c450872bf
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: CL

I found that formulas are not overwritten.
I hesitate to change the satus, though, that should be done after more testing.
