Thanks for reporting!

Is it possible to upload the tiff image so we can try to reproduce? Is this behavior also reproducible with every tiff image, or only this one?

I also see you are working with an EOL (end of life) version of LibreOffice. The 3.5.7 version is the latest version of 3.5 branch. Therefore: is this still reproducible using more recent versions (3.6.5 or upcoming 4.0 (or current RC3)).

Thanks in advance for your time filling in this report and testing.

Kind regards,
Joren

Hi! please forgive me if I make mistakes but I am only user (female) and have not much idea about programs...
the problem exists with every image, normal jpegs and also when I delete it and put in a new one...

-> I didn't try it in another version. my husbands uses 3.5.1 and everything works fine. where can I downgrade or where can I find the 4.0? Then I will do so..

Thank you and have a nice day!

*tip* you can use the 'reply' button in the right upper corner of every comment on a bug :-).

You don't need to sorry about that. It's strange this behavior is reproducible with every image you insert.

We use 2 'branches'. We have a stable branch (currently that is branch 3.6.x), and a 'experimental' branch (upcoming version 4.0). Depending on the what you use LibreOffice for, we can recommend you a version. If you use LibreOffice for very important documents and for businesses, we recommend using 3.6.5 that you can download here: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ . If you're 'just a casual' user for working on *some* documents that aren't that critical we recommend using upcoming 4.0 version. You can download the latest test version of LibreOffice 4.0, release candidate 3 (=RC3) https://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/. This'll be probably identical to the upcoming 'final version'.
If you're not that familiar with installing software on a Mac, we can provide you a guide: https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/installation/mac/ (or ask you husband ;-) ).

If the problem is still reproducible, I recommend to reset your user profile by following this guide: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resetting_the_user_profile

Hello Stephanie,

Could you please check whether the checkbox "Graphics and Objects" in "Tools - Options - LO Writer - View" is selected?

I think this will solve your issue.

it took me some time (not without my husband ;) to find the right menu where this checkbox should be - and *tadaaa* there was the bug ;)
thank you! this answer cam right 5 minutes before I wanted to downgrade to version 3.6.5 :)
why was this checkbox after updating not activated??
I don't want to wonder why - it's solved and I am happy!
Have a nice weekend!
