Problem description: 
In version 4.0, when we open Writer for the first time, the Styles Windows shows Custom Styles, so it becomes empty

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer for the very first time
2. Press F11 to view Stylist
3. The default view shows Custom Styles, so the Stylist windows gets empty; it would be better to show All Styles, or Applied Styles

As I've been able to confirm this problem I am marking as:

New (confirmed)
Trivial - One time issue, if you're using styles it's more than likely that you'd notice custom styles is selected and use drop down to select all
Medium - regression + easy fix

Keywords - regression

Whiteboard Status - ProposedEasyHack, bibisected40 (doing it now)

@Joren - you interested in this one, I'm almost positive it'll be a one liner or at most a couple lines to edit ;) Then again, I'm usually wrong with these assumptions

that dialog is in sfx2/source/dialog/templdlg.cxx

there are various calls to aFilterLb.SelectEntryPos or
aFilterLb.SelectEntry that look very relevant.

i guess the bug can be reproduced by using a fresh user profile.

I just tested this again on 4.1.1.2 and it's no longer an issue. Marking as WFM

@Gilvan - if you can still reproduce this with 4.1.1.2 or later please mark as NEW again - make sure to test with a clean profile
