Description Douwe Gelling 2013-04-11 13:33:18 UTC
Most commercial spreadsheet programs have the option to display a polynomial fit of a particular order to a graph with relatively little effort. It would be nice if this was also possible for Calc, as a simple option for a fitting curve. E.g. select polynomial fit -> order of polynomial.

Can you point us to an example of this? Would be nice to see the behavior

In Calc (Chart) we can fit linear, exponential, logarithmic and power curves (trend lines) to data points. A polynomial regression curve cannot be added automatically. Help has a hint how to calculate this manually.
