---------Problem description--------- While trying to send a rather long message through the AskLO "Give us feedback" contact form I was met with the following error message: (this field is required) This message was erroneous of course because the field was everything but empty. Only after shortening the message by a few sentences I was able to send it on its way. I suspect that the error message is related to the message character count. ---------Steps to reproduce--------- 1. Make sure you are logged in to ask.libreoffice.org 2. Head to http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/feedback/?next=/en/question/7848/is-this-an-asklibo-answer-or-a-junk-mail/ 3. Copy and paste a long passage of text into the message box (>1000 characters should be enough) 4. Include an apologetic note to the web-administration team and make sure to clarify that you are sending them this message for test purposes only (just in case it does make it through ;)) 5. Hit "Send" ------------Suggestion------------ If it really is the character count that triggers this error notify the user that he hit the character limit.
Yep, yep, yeps :-) Another bug that will hopefully be fixed by the Askbot upgrade (bug 61098).
Testing on Ubuntu 12.04.3 + FF 24.0 REPRO: Using 1100+ characters of Lorem Ipsum, I still get the same "this field is required" error. RESULT: This bug still exists in Askbot 0.7.49. Cc'ing Evgeny on this one.
I think the feedback form works now.

Testing with FF 34 on Ubuntu 14.04, using 1927+ chars of Lorem Ipsum I do *not* get an error, and the message goes through, so this appears to be fixed.
