template with nice input fields

Problem description: The input field shows "input field" instead of the content. 

Steps to reproduce:
1. open file
2. fill in dialog
3. nothing changes even the page numbers show as "page numbers"

Current behavior:

The input field are not working

Expected behavior:

That the content is shown instead of the function

Hi Boudewijn,

Did you try Ctrl-F9 (View > Field names) ?
For me, the content of the fields show fine (nice template, btw)

That does the trick, some how in the linux versions it is not performing this "trick" by opening the file any more, in the windows version it always looks fine.

Ah well, I thought that it's a personal setting that is kept over various sessions/documents. But I may be wrong there.
