Description bos-epost 2013-05-23 16:02:03 UTC
concerning Libre office 4.0.3.3 writing program (writer).

Features: Comments (ctr, everything c). has some problems:

1 when you have made a comment and want to use the text from it by copy / paste into a document it comes out as white text, then one must highlight and select the font color.
2 you can not choose the font for all the comments at once but must do it for each comment separately. it would be nice if it could be changed.
3 (and probably the most annoying problem): You can not print it as part of the text. If you want to print the comments you must either choose to have it as a list whereas the line number and page so you have to start counting forward, or get the "end of the page" as it is called - in fact it means that the comment is printed on one side for themselves and still only with line number as reference.
Is it not possible to functionalize it a little so it came to serve as footnotes do - number and bottom of the page (so you do not use a rainforest every time you print one document). even better would be if it could be such that you could choose the reference code - instead of No. 1,2,3 as the footnotes example from Paul, John, Marie ...
sincerely Bo

I create a seperate bug for that one. Please report this issues as separate bugs. I create Bug 64956.

Agreed to that, lets change this enhancement request focused to this.

I this "improved printing of comments" feature is already highly discussed in Bug 36815 , which is also a project for Google Summer of Code (GSoC). I actually don't know yet someone request to work on that (will be announced May 27). Please read the comments and provided links in that bug comment for the 'direction' we are going with this project.
If you still would like to see add some features to it, please feel free to create a separate enhancement request for it. (Maybe after the printing of comments is improved).

So lets change this enhancement request to problem '2': make it possible to alter formatting of comment text at once

Kind regards,
Joren
