Created attachment 79939 [details] sample file showing the problem I have one file that I've been using constantly since 2005. File was originally created in OpenOffice (I think it was v2.x.x). Most of it's fields are financial data that use build-in conditional formatting for negative numbers (cells turn red when value goes below 0). For some reason after opening this spreadsheet in LibreOffice v4.x.x.x all cells are black and require editing of their value to change the colour. Because there are several sub-sheets in this file it is not an option for me and stops me from upgrading. I'm attaching small part of the sheet copied from my file that can be used to observe the issue. It works pretty fine in v3 and has problems in v4. Operating System: Mac OS X Version: 4.0.0.3 release Last worked in: 3.6.6.2 release

I have tested all major releases since v4.0 including the latest 4.0.3. All shared the same issue.

Your comment have inspired me - I've created new user on my mac and checked the test file. It works fine so I guess the problem lies within the user configuration that was migrated from v3 to v4. I've removed all files under Library/Application Support/Libreoffice and now it also works on my account as well. The mystery seems to be solved. At least this solution works for me, so unless you want to pursue the configuration migration issue this one can be closed. Thanks!
Yup..when strange thing happen after upgrading, we can always try reinstall or reset user profile :)
