Description Daniel L 2013-06-18 14:30:00 UTC
Reproduce steps:
 1. Make a large document (more than one page)
 2. File > Export to PDF
 3. Initial View tab > Page layout > select Single page
 4. Export

Result: A PDF with the expected content inside but the page layout is "Default". The content is divided into several pages. The size of the page is defined in Format> Page.

Expected result: A PDF with the expected content on a one "single page"

Reproduced on Writer and Calc / MacOS and Windows 7 x64
Reproduced on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60994#c4 (ign_christian says "choosing Default nor Single page doesn't make any difference")

Regression: Not reproducible on 4.0.4.2
Comment 1 ign_christian 2013-06-18 14:55:41 UTC
Could you attach sample doc showing that problem?
Perhaps we was testing on different case. (I only test Impress)

Seems that I have made wrong statement, that means I can reproduce :)
Sorry for that

> Regression: Not reproducible on 4.0.4.2
Should be: reproducible on 4.0.4.2. Perhaps you know last version worked so that can be said regression.

Nop, I misspoke

Whoops! I meant "Not reproductible on 4.0.1.2"
Comment 6 Daniel L 2013-06-18 18:15:29 UTC
I can reproduce the bug on Calc 4.1.0.0-beta2 and 4.0.4.2

I can also reproduce that with 2 files attached (LO 4.0.4.2 - Win7 32bit).
So we can mark it NEW

Confirmed with master and added whiteboard and keyword.

Win 7 64-bit Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha1+
Build ID: b7d8a58ff2698ffc6e22943f64aa97c5ea253bd9
TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2014-11-05_00:40:38
Comment 9 Xisco Faulí 2014-11-05 11:16:40 UTC
Could anybody confirm this is a regression? I can reproduce this issue using the files attached with the oldest commit ( d6cde02dbce8c28c6af836e2dc1120f8a6ef9932 ) of bibisect-43all in ubuntu 14.10
Comment 10 Matthew Francis 2014-12-05 05:20:16 UTC
This seems to be a confusion about the purpose of the "Initial View" settings. They do not affect how the pages of the PDF are generated, only how they are shown by the viewer (initially - the user can still select other view options)

"Single page" sets it to scroll one whole page at a time
"Continuous" sets it to scroll smoothly between pages
etc.

This works as expected on LO 4.3.4.1 and current 4.5 master.

In addition, while Adobe Reader / Acrobat etc. obey these settings, most other viewers probably do not.
