My thesis (in dutch) please keep it confdential

Problem description:

I saved the attached file as a docx file but I can't open the file in MS Office. I noticed that the file is about 500k smaller than the original

I noticed that the page layout is different between the windows version of LO and the Linux version of LO. What is just fitting on one page in Linux LO is not fitting anymore in the windows LO, this is annoying.

Steps to reproduce:
1. ....
2. ....
3. ....

Current behavior:

Expected behavior:

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.0.1 rc

Bug confirmed under Win XP. Actually this is fantastic improvement. LO 4.1 manages to save to docx and then open it again. Previous versions of LO crash (I tested 4.0.4 and 3.6.6) without producing any file. Unfortunately this is not good enough since the file can not be opened in Office 2010...

Hello Boudewijn,

I can open the .odt in MS Office Starter Kit. It claims there is illegible content but opens it. Some differences in Content Table, but see if this work for you.

Have a nice day,

Jacques

I can check that work around, but my experience is that MSO completely screwed up the format.

I saw when saving as .doc file that the second picture is missing and that the first table is screwed up. The rest seems to be fine.

Boudewijn: for your information, a file attached can be viewed by anyone.
If you want it to be removed, fill a new bugtracker (with freedesktop.org category I think) asking about deleting the attachment (give bugtracker, file attached ref, etc).

Hello

In the latest version of LO (4.1.0.4)on windows 7. I still have issues opening a saved docx file. I want to open it with MS Office 2010 on windows 7.

Attached the error I got.

When I save the document as doc file that I noticed that a few pictures are missing.

Any update with last stable LO version 4.2.5?

Boudewijn: As a consequence of your newly-filed bug 87164 - "Remove files from bug 66457", it's going to be a lot harder to get traction on this bug report.

After 87164 is resolved, please upload a new example file demonstrating the stated problem. We have some tips on how to sanitize a document here:

Thanks

I'm aware of that, but the error is not there anymore in the latest version of LO, so please remove the files.

Following last Boudewijn's comment "the error is not there anymore in the latest version of LO", let's put this one to WFM.
