Description Richard Marchessault 2013-09-09 13:18:55 UTC
I am using Libre Office Version: 4.1.0.4 Build ID: 89ea49ddacd9aa532507cbf852f2bb22b1ace28

In the Advance Slide section of Slide Transition, you can manually enter a time after which the slide will automatically advance to the next slide. In prior versions I could enter values over 100 seconds. With the version I am using I can enter a value over 100 seconds but it automatically changes back to 99.99 sec. If I enter the timings using the slide sorter layout, I can get the correct value entered but it still display as 99.99 sec on the manual entry Advance Slide section. Bottom line is that I have a work around by using the slide sorter layout time recording but I would prefer to use the manual entry as I did in the past. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thanks.

try upgrading to 4.1.1.2 and tell if bug is still present
Comment 2 Richard Marchessault 2013-09-10 12:02:17 UTC
I downloaded and tried Version: 4.1.1.2 Build ID: 7e4286b58adc75a14f6d83f53a03b6c11fa2903 and the bug is still present. I cannot manually enter a time greater than 99.99 seconds. If I enter 120 seconds, for example, it is changed to 99.99 by the program. This used to work fine, hope you can fix it.

ok. please describe "step by step" which menu items you click to change that time.

1. Open presentation into Impress. The presentation has 11 slides. The presentation is designed to run automatically. Each slide has a video. The slide needs to be displayed until the video is completed.
2. Slide 1 has a short 10 sec video. Click on the "View" menu and select "Normal".
3. Click on the "View" menu and make sure there is a check mark before "Task Pane"
4. Open the menu for "Slide Transition" on the "Task Pane"
5. In the "Advance slide" section of "Slide Transition" click on "Automatically After" and enter 10. The "10" changes to "10.00sec". This is fine.
6. Slide 2 has a video which runs for 121 sec. Advance to slide 2 in the "Normal" view.
7. In the "Advance slide" section of "Slide Transition" click on "Automatically After" and enter 121. Press "Tab" to exit the text box and the 121 changes to "99.99sec". This is not correct.

That is the problem.

I found that I can work around this by using the recording timer with the "Slide Sorter" view to record that actual time. When the actual time is recorded, it still displays as "99.99sec" in the "Slide Transition" section of the "Task Pane" of the "Normal" view but correct value seems to be stored since the video displays for the correct time.

Test File for Slide Advance Problem

Attached is a test file. Slide one needs to display for 10 sec. Slide 2 for 150 sec. Slide 3 for 10 seconds. A value entered of 150 for the automatic slide advance time is changed by Impress to 99.99. Viewing the slide show results in slide timing of 10 / 99.99 / 10 but needs to be 10 / 150 / 10.

tested under Win7 64bit
bug confirmed in 4.1.1 and 4.1.0 final release. works in 4.0.4, hence regression.

other users already reported it in Bug 67843
