Description Jim Jütte 2013-09-15 03:56:34 UTC
Problem description:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a line
2. Create a second line and add arrow heads

Current behavior: any changes such as line type (dashed vs continuous), or arrow heads will now appear on all lines.

Expected behavior: Changes should occur only to selected lines.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.1.1.2 release

Not reproducible on LO 3.6.7.2 (Ubuntu 12.04 32bit)
Comment 2 Jim Jütte 2013-09-15 09:55:54 UTC
I think I found the problem but I'm not sure if this is how the product is designed.

Draw an arrow;
Draw a line and cross the arrow.
Right click on the line and "edit style"
Change to something like a "dashed line"

The arrow will ALSO change.

Sorry... too much of a rush...

If I draw a third line and cross the previous two it will still show the dashed line... if I then use the tool bar to alter the line style, the other two remain as they were previously.

Yes, you are editing a style, and every element that has that style, will show the changes.
See the window Formatting > Styles and formatting. And the Help about styles.

Thanks for this exta explanation about what happened at your side.
