Test spreadsheet

A copy/ special paste macro has been created to illustrate iterative computation.

When the macro is called from the tool menu, it behaves correctly.

The macro is then assign to a control (button) to be executed when clicked.

The spreadsheet is attached, it works properly with OpenOffice 4.0.1, NeoOffice 3.4 but not with LibreOffice 4.

Thanks!

Hi Jean-Loup,

Thanks for the issue and the sample file.

The first time I tried the button it did not fuly work.
 - selected cell changed, but B6 was not pasted

But after running the code manually, the second time, it did have effect.
I run Ubuntu.

Looks as something with the dispatch for pasting, that this does not work the first time...

Can you pls check that ?

Best,
Cor

Hi Cor,

The attached file I sent to you in my previous message doesn't work because libreoffice seems to not save properly the new menu (an other bug?).
Here is a version created by openoffice 4.0.1 which works in libreoffice.

Jean-Loup,

Comment 3 Jean-Loup Robert 2013-11-11 05:58:19 UTC
Hello Cor,

Here are my observation:

- if the selected cell is B4, manual execution doesn't work, I have to select another cell to have this working.

- After that the button doesn't update the previous result. It just end by selecting B4.

I made an alternative way to have the iterations working. I assigned the macro to a new menu item, see Compute menu.
Everything works properly with this method. See the attached file.

Regards,

Jean-Loup
