the missing description

Problem description: 
missing descriptions from the ui. the icons still remain though. can't exactly remember the trigger but i think it happened after mesa driver update.

using linux mint 13 LTS Cinnamon 64-bit.

Same as the previous bug report so I am just going to say see bug 72951
