On libreoffice.org I'm able to find how to raise a bug (there's a link to https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/); however there aren't any instructions for what to do if I would like to raise a new feature request. It should be made clear on the Get Help pages (https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/) whether feature requests should be raised as bugs (if so, should we use any special tags?), or whether there's some other preferred way to handle them. Thanks.
One further thought - it would also make sense to note that the extensions are the first place to look if you can't find a feature in the standard installation.
enhancement requests can be filed using the same bug tracker you used to open this report. just take a look at the second dropdown menu in the "Importance" section above and you will find "enhancement" maybe this could be better specified in LibO webpages...
Thanks for the info. And yes, I mean this to be a bug against the documentation on the website.
I agree with Jenny and consider it as a needed new feature to directly raise an enhancement request. Changing the current "bug report site" to a "bug report & enhancement request site" could be a possibility. This would save new comers a lot of search time and avoid many enhancements request in the AskLibO forum Currently I am using always the workaround tommy27 indicated.
(In reply to comment #4) > .... > > Currently I am using always the workaround tommy27 indicated. it's not a workaround... feature request have to be filed in the bug report with the "enhancement" menu item this is how has always been done from the OOo era
solved at http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/feedback/. Please file additional requests on Redmine, Thanks.
Looks good, good work! I wonder whether it's worth including a note on http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/feedback/ that if you're looking for a feature that's not in the core product then try the extensions first to see whether someone's already created it, before raising a new request. Big improvement though, thanks.
