Description Joe Saindon 2014-01-15 17:15:05 UTC
Problem description:
I first noticed this in the Spreadsheet component(although it didn't happen nearly as often as with the Draw component). When I copy text within a box in Draw, LibreOffice crashes more often than not. Doesn't matter if its the ctrl+c or right click -> copy commands either. Both do it. This is highly annoying when I forget to save every time I make a change.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In Libre Draw, create some flowchart boxes.
2. Start typing in them.
3. Copy / Paste until it freezes.

Current behavior:
As soon as I hit ctrl+c the application hangs up and I need to kill it using task manager.

Expected behavior:
When I hit ctrl+c, it copies the text/object to the clipboard, not require a restart and losing my progress.

Operating System: Windows 7
Version: 4.1.0.4 release

Cut command also freezes LibreOffice Draw. Copying and Cutting text between flowchart boxes is exactly what I was doing every time it froze.

Background programs running at the time were:
Internet Explorer Version 11.0.9600.16428
Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 m
Teamviewer Version 9.0.24951

I just updated to latest LibreOffice and will report findings. Should freeze within minutes.

This was on a cut command. Copy also crashes LibreOffice.

Joe:
did you install any LO specific extensions?
Could you upgrade to 4.1.4, rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) and give it a new try?

I didn't install anything other than LO. I only needed the basics.

I do have 4.1.4. I just updated it today to try to fix this issue. Comment 3 has my screenshot of the LO Draw window after it froze using version 4.1.4.

The latest step I tried was closing Google Chrome, but it froze up again just now.

I renamed my profile with the last version, never tried with this version. Let me try that again.

After this I will close all open applications and try to get it to freeze again.

OK, so far no freezes. I renamed the user folder to create a new one. I also closed out of Teamviewer and Internet Explorer.

Tomorrow I will be using Draw some more and will update my findings.
