An ODT document, illustrating with a screenshot, the situation described above.
In Writer, open the Find and Replace dialogue (Ctrl+H) and select 'Other Options'.
Click 'Similarity search'. The button to the right should have an ellipsis icon on it according to the Help files. There is none.

issue confirmed under Win7 64bit using all LibO 4.1.x version from .0 to .4
it works fine with 4.0.6

are you sure about that? in my tests 4.1.4 is buggy as well.
Must be a problem with the windows theme text height size calulation

This report no longer applies to recent versions of LO, where the offending button has got a proper label, “Similarities”. For the record, it never bore a graphic, it was just called “...”.
