Bug still there with Kubuntu 14.04 and LibreOffice
I have attached the top page (2 pages opened with nothing) with a small square on top left of page and below a red line.
Still no problem with CalligraWords. After opening with CalligraWords I have saved it under another name but when opening with LibreOffice exactly the same situation.

Can this be related with a specific LibreOffice setting attachedto the file not taken into account by CalligraWords.

Sorry for the dalay with my answer.

Could not reproduce in any of the LibO releases from 3.6 to 4.2 and 4.3 beta in Linux Mint. I'd suggest you do a pdf export of the file or a screencast so we can better understand your issue.
