Created attachment 98084 [details] Screenshot from 4.3.0...master Current master's toolbar buttons ("bold"-"italic"-"underline") don't change it's state according to current text. As you can see from attachments, they are static now. And this is regression, because in 4.0.x they were "active" (see next attachment).

>please copy and paste here your master build infos from menu "Help" From menu "LibreOfficeDev", your mean? Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: Built by Douglas Mencken for PowerPC I can add that: 1) paragraph alignment icons in the same toolbar are "active", so their state is switched accordingly to current alignment; 2) font name and size pull-downs (in the same toolbar) reflect correct name and size under text cursor; 3) BIU (bold--italic--underline) buttons are static even when rendering them "non-natively": see screenshot.
Created attachment 98093 [details] non-native rendering gives the same results
Created attachment 98984 [details] result of find via grep "italic" Still present with 0bd49edc1ffd3717a75952bb8512110a5503d74b Where's in the source tree the code which deals with triggering tollbar buttons?
(In reply to comment #7) > Where's in the source tree the code which deals with triggering tollbar > buttons? I think you might get that answer faster by mailing the developer mailinglist (http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice) or ask in the IRC freenode #libreoffice-dev chat (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/IRC) Kind regards, Joren
Works for me on Version: 4.3.2.2 Build ID: edfb5295ba211bd31ad47d0bad0118690f76407d
Also works on my master build Version: 4.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 9bcd96a36e323a1c70eeefa81f2c8ea595f59444
