Description tommy27 2014-05-04 11:07:21 UTC
I think it's time to remove all alphas, betas and RCs belonging the "long time dead" 3.6.x and 4.0.x branches from the bugzilla version dropdown menu.

3.6 all versions and 4.0 all versions items should be created as well.

similar things has been done in the past with 3.3.x, 3.4.x and 3.5.x branch in order to simplify and shorten the long list of available versions in the menu.

+1, NEW
Comment 2 Joel Madero 2014-05-04 16:42:48 UTC
3.6 hidden - preserved 3.6.0.beta0 because this is the "prebibisect" version (might change the name or add a new version but I want feedback from QA list.

4.0 - going to email lists (dev and QA) to see if anyone sees a reason to keep. Because 4.0 had major change we had quite a few bugs creep into the code and because version reflects oldest version, I'd hate to annoy a dev or QA person trying to set a correct version :)

So right now - "kind of fixed" ;) Thanks Tommy and FOSS

Just checked and couldn't find any 4.0 or 3.6 alpha/beta/RC in the bugzilla > Version dropdown list. (except for the masterold 3.6-)

setting to fixed.

tommy27: please correct me if I'm wrong and have missed something here.

Guess for any remaining problems let's rather create a new bug, so that can be tackled specifically.

thanks FOss, yes we forgot fo change status to FIXED

next cleanup will be about 4.1.x releases that is going to 6 months after 4.1.x EOL. I've already discussed with Joel about it in the QA list.

a new report will be opened at that time.

Be sure to report it in https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/projects/qa! ;-)

hi Adolfo,
how's the procedure now? all those Bugzilla related issue have to be filed in Redmine instead of Bugzilla itself, or should I file them on both sites?
